Chainflip DCA Swap has Arrived: Stream large trades on THORSwap with greater capital efficiency đ¸
Trade Smarter with Automated Dollar-Cost Averaging â break large swaps into smaller chunks for better pricing.
THORSwap is excited to announce the integration of Chainflipâs Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) feature, provides more flexibility and better pricing for larger sized swaps. This is achieved through breaking down larger trades into smaller âchunksâ/sub-swaps executed over a longer period of time for better execution.
This innovative feature, similar to THORChain/Maya Protocol âStreaming Swapsâ allows for greater capital efficiency via lower slippage regardless of liquidity depth. Supported chains include Native Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot and Arbitrum.

What are Chainflip DCA Swaps?
DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) Swaps via Chainflip is a trading strategy where a large swap is broken down into smaller sub-swaps and executed at regular intervals. This approach helps to:
- Reduced Price Slippage: By breaking down a large trade into multiple smaller transactions, streaming swaps minimize the risk of price slippage, ensuring that you get the best possible pricing for your trade .
- Improved Price Averaging: The sequential execution of smaller swaps to dollar-cost average, potentially yielding better overall swap rates.
- Enhanced Liquidity: Streaming Swaps allow for more efficient use of liquidity, allowing for larger swaps.
- Cross-Chain Compatibility: Like THORChain and Maya Protocol, Chainflip DCA Swap work seamlessly across different blockchain networks.
DCA Swaps on THORSwap ď¸is simple:
THORSwap automatically enables DCA Swaps via Chainflip to optimize large trades, simply:
- Visit app.thorswap.finance
- Select your trading pair
- Select Chainflip Route
- Expand âSwap Settingsâ and confirm âStreaming (DCA) Swapsâ is turned on.
- For Bitcoin swaps â you can choose to âBoostâ the swap for faster execution.
- Adjust slippage settings to your desired preference.
- Confirm the swap and voila! Simply wait for the swap to complete and your desired asset to arrive in your wallet.
Slippage Protection and Partial Fills/Refunds
Due to the longer swap execution period of DCA swaps, price movement between the swap assets may occur due to market volatility. This is where Slippage Protection comes in.
Depending on the slippage setting for the swap, the minimum price requirement will be applied to each individual sub-swap. If a sub-swap is executed, but does not meet the minimum price requirement, it is retried a few blocks later, pushing back the execution of any remaining sub-swaps.
If the same sub-swap reaches its retry limit, it will be refunded along with any remaining sub-swap in a single transaction to the userâs specified refund address. In that case, any amount successfully swapped in prior chunks is still sent to the user-specified destination address.
The Future of Smart Trading
Thanks to Chainflipâs DCA Swaps, all three major cross-chain protocols on THORSwap (THORChain, Maya Protocol, Chainflip) now supports this innovative feature to allow price execution competitive with centralized exchanges.
Powered by SwapKit, by combining Chainflip DCA Swaps with a strong battle-tested infrastructure, weâre helping to optimize advanced trading strategies for all. Whether youâre a seasoned trader or just starting your crypto journey, DCA Swaps provide a powerful tool for optimizing larger size swaps cross-chain.
